Welcome to the BHYFL Website
"NO CHILD IS LEFT BEHIND"

Our organization will make every effort to make sure that
every child with the desire to participate gets the opportunity
to play or cheer, without regard
to prior experience or athletic ability.
We are committed to instilling Honesty, Loyalty, Integrity,
Teamwork, Discipline, Sportsmanship, Respect, Leadership,
Trust and Commitment in our young participants.  We believe
these values and virtues are important to their growth and to
them becoming active members of our
community  and society.
We will instill in our youth the challenge of competition, the
joy of victory, the reality of defeat, the importance of
commitment and the spirit of community.
Our Scholar Athlete Recognition program is to directly
underscore the importance of academic
achievement among athletes, and by doing so, it will prepare
them for the challenges of high school and
collegiate environments.
These goals will be achieved through organizing our
dedicated volunteers,
caring parents, and business associates who wish to partner
with our great youth sport program.

MISSION  STATEMENT:
Welcome to the BHYFL NEWS page

A little bit of info about
our league founder:
Shawn Boyle was born in Mitchell, SD, raised in Sioux Falls and
graduated from O'Gorman HS.
He attended UNLV, and served in the USAF before being honorably
discharged in 1988. Eventually returning to SD, Shawn lived in Rapid City and
then Sturgis. Mr. Boyle experienced a period of time in which bad decisions
and poor choices placed him a position of realizing a new commitment to
bettering his life and to helping our youth make positive and encouraged
choices in their lives. He then  moved to Florida in 2000, and began to
discover his calling as being an advocate for our youth and families. He
became a den leader and was then elected to Scout Master for his step
children while residing in Central Florida. He was asked by the city
Commission to accept a position on a government board. Shawn was also
elected to the School advisory council (SAC). Shawn was appointed Youth
Director for the Sadie Holmes Help Services and Ministry. He became heavily
involved as a volunteer in the local pop warner youth football program,
eventually being elected to the position of Director of football operations, and
was asked to run for President of the league. Shawn felt  the children and
families in the community deserved an even better youth sports program, so he
stepped out and founded what is now the largest youth tackle football and
cheer program in Central Florida, and still growing. Returning here to Rapid
City in 2007, Mr. Boyle is a member of South Canyon Baptist church, and SD
voices for children. Shawn is excited and optimistic about the BHYFL, and
looking forward to creating the most fun and exciting youth sports program our
area has seen - along with the help of the many wonderful and caring
volunteers and sponsors of this awesome family oriented program!

"There is no greater responsibility God can entrust us with than that of
caring for and investing in the life of a child"
